I remember asking, "What is the purpose to life? and Why am I here at
this time in history?" Perhaps, you've asked the same or similar
questions. If so, I want to share with you the answer I found. The Bible
says if we seek God with all of our heart, we will find him. (Jeremiah
29:13) Because humans are intelligent beings, we instinctively want to
find the truth.
John 14:6 says, "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the
life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
If this is true, then how can I have a relationship with Jesus?
John 3:16-17 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and
only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him."
Why do I need to be saved?
Romans 3:23 answers, "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory
of God." And then the Bible goes on to say in Romans 6:23, "For the
wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord."
Did Jesus have to die?
2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin
for us, so that in him (Jesus) we might become the righteousness of
God."

Yes, Christ died on a cross for you and for me. But, God did not leave
him in death, but rose him from the grave. Why would he do that?
Because, He wants us to know that we, too, through faith in Christ, will
also overcome death and have eternal life. The Bible confirms, "That if
you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart
that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with
your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth
that you confess and are saved." Romans 10:9-10
There is no other way to a relationship with God except through His Son,
Jesus. Many have tried to do good works to gain entry into God's
presence, but God is very clear. "...and all our righteous acts are like
filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins
sweep us away." (Isaiah 64:6b)
Simply, because God loves us, He only asks through faith that we believe
in His Son. "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in
mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in
transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved." Ephesians 2:4-5
Ephesians 2: 8-9 adds, "For it is by grace you have been saved through
faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by
works, so that no one can boast." Grace is God's unmerited favor. I
didn't do anything to deserve it, nor can you. He gives it freely
because He first loved you!
The choice is yours. "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If
anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with
him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20

Prayer of Faith
Heavenly Father,
I love you. I have sinned against You. I want to be forgiven for all of
my sins. I believe that Jesus died on a cross for me. I also believe He
rose again. LORD, I give You my life to do with as You wish. I want
Jesus Christ to come into my life and into my heart to live forever.
I ask this in Jesus' name,
Amen
